The Greatest Challenge

^ I took that picture :-)
So my therapist has given me an assignment (which I asked for) to write a poem about the greatest challenge a girl/lady/woman has to face today.
Personally, I beleive that the greatest challenge for a woman, well for anyone really, but mostly women, is finding acceptance of themselves. Knowing who they are and what they stand for.
Women always are comparing themselves to the images of ''beauty'' that society creates for them. Models, celebrities, even pornography, give women a false image of beauty. Sure a model's face might be flawless and she has a perfect slender body, but is that really what beautiful is? This is where the quote ''Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'' comes in. Because that statement is so true. What's beautiful to one person may be hideous to another. What really MATTERS is the inner beauty in a person. Yes a lot of love relationships are started with physical attraction and it is a good thing to carry yourself well but if you are a beautiful person on the inside, thats all that should matter.
Now although physical beauty is a main thing women seem to stress and worry about, accepting who you are as a person is a big thing. You need to have your own beleifs and opinions. You shouldn't be afraid to speak your mind or say how you feel. Everyone is different in so many ways. it's just that you need to embrace your differences and be proud of them.
Society and media are the biggest bitches in the world. They brainwash everyone into beleive what's right and what's wrong. What's beautiful and what's ugly. So forget society. People need to think for themselves. People need to beleive in what THEY think is right. Not based on what others might think.

Greatest challenge = acceptance of yourself
